Claar Griffioen is one of the founders of Flatland Gallery Utrecht. As owner/artistic director (1981 – 2004) she organized many talked-about exhibitions in her homeland and abroad. Since 2003 she lives and works also in Lombok Indonesia. She puts together exhibitions, studies and collects ancient krisses and, besides commissioned writing, she is also occupied with writing her own material.
